SAN ANGELO, TX – Thursday there were arrests for Public Intoxication, Criminal Trespassing and more. A total of 11 people were arrested and booked on the Thursday docket.
At 7:25 p.m. yesterday, Justin Wyatt Martinez, 21, was arrested and booked for multiple offenses.
At approximately 5:00 p.m. yesterday, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Pulliam Street in reference to an armed subject. When officers arrived at the scene they spoke to an 18-year-old male victim who advised the officers that the subject, Martinez, had displayed a handgun while making verbal threats to the victim.
The victim described Martinez and told officers that Martinez had gone into a business in the 1500 block of Pulliam. When Martinez exited the business the officers detained him pending investigation.
A frisk of Martinez resulted in the discovery of a handgun. An investigation revealed that Martinez was a convicted felon and was consequently prohibited from possessing a firearm. During a search incident to arrest, marijuana was located on Martinez.
Martinez was arrested on the following charges: Felony 3 Unlawful Possession of Firearm by a Felon, Class B Terroristic Threat, and Class B Possession of Marijuana.
Sergeant Matthew Vaughn, with the San Angelo Police Department, released the information on the arrest.
