Man Arrested in San Angelo Possessing 4.41 Pounds of Meth

SAN ANGELO, TX—A month-long investigation by a member of the San Angelo Police Department Street Crimes Division led to a large narcotics bust early this morning, Dec. 21.

Based on information gleaned by a Street Crime Detective, a vehicle, driven by Stephen Bradley, 36, was stopped on its way into town. An SAPD K-9 alerted on the vehicle, and officers located two kilograms—that is 4.41 pounds—of methamphetamine hidden in a secret compartment in the vehicle.

Bradley was arrested for Felony 1 Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1.

Possession of 400 grams or more of meth is an enhanced first degree felony in Texas, with punishment of 10 to 99 years in prison and a $100,000 fine. This arrest netted 2,000 grams.

Bradley was booked and then released Thursday on a $10,000 bond.
