SAPD Find Drugs, Paraphernalia, and Gun During Arrest

 

SAN ANGELO, TX--(SAPD Press Release) At approximately 2:35 this morning, San Angelo Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Pontiac G6 near the 2400 block of Harvard Avenue.   

During the traffic detention, the Officer observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.  As the Officer attempted to place the driver under arrest, the driver took off running towards a nearby flower shop.  Shortly after the pursuit began, the driver tripped and fell in the parking lot and surrendered.  The driver was identified as Scotty Ray Marsh, 27, of San Angelo.  Marsh sustained minor abrasions during his failed flight but refused medical evaluation and treatment.

During a subsequent search of Marsh’s vehicle Officers located additional drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and a handgun.

Marsh was transported to the Tom Green County Jail where he was booked for Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon, Evading Arrest, Class B Possession of Marijuana, and Possession/Delivery Drug Paraphernalia.
