Abilene Man Arrested in San Angelo for Online Solicitation of a Minor

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — At around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon, San Angelo police arrested Truong Abor, 22, of Abilene, for Online Solicitation of a Minor.

Abor arrested outside of Rosa’s Café, 1602 Knickerbocker Road, by detectives with the SAPD’s Crimes Against Children Unit and the Street Crimes Division. 

Subsequent to an ongoing investigation, Crimes Against Children Detective Rebecca Stuart learned Abor had been communicating online with a 13-year-old female for the purpose of engaging in a sexual encounter.  Abor was supposed to meet the victim at Rosa’s Café that afternoon.  Instead, Abor was greeted by our law enforcement team.

Online Solicitation of a Minor [younger than 14] is a Second Degree Felony. He sits in jail Saturday on a $20,000 bond. The SAPD Patrol Division assisted with Friday’s operation.
