Abilene Authorities Searching for Drill Instructor Accused of Sexual Assault of a Child

 

ABILENE, TX-- The Abilene Police Department is on the hunt for a man accused of abusing his power as a drill instructor to sexually assault a child.

In a June meeting with police, the victim recalled the 2013 incident, court documents reported. In those documents, the victim said she was "sexually assaulted by a 'drill instructor'" when she was eight or nine-years-old.

This incident reportedly happened at a behavioral boot camp, according to the victim's statement in the documents. The victim said she was "cornered in her room by the 'drill instructor'." She was then reportedly told to undress and the instructor touched her inappropriately. 

The assailant was described as a bald man wearing army clothes by the victim.

Emory Phillips, the 'drill instructor' is accused and charged with Injury to a Child and Sexual Assault of a Child. Abilene PD is offering a $250 reward for any information leading to an arrest
