The Concho Christmas Celebration is still on for a grand opening Dec. 2 when the Tour of Lights will commence. This will be the 17th year.

The Celebration begins Dec. 2 with a tree lighting and parade. The event starts at 6 p.m.

Parade entries are open now until Nov. 2 There is no entry fee and is open to individuals, churches, businesses, organizations, clubs, and schools. There are three simple requirements for each parade entry:

  • It must be appropriate for the Christmas season
  • It must be lighted. Floats towed by trucks must have the float lighted, not the truck or tractor. If the entry is a vehicle or a group of vehicles, each must be lighted in a festive manner. Headlights do not count.
  • No excessive noise.

The event and parade will be broadcasted lie on KCSA-FM Radio and televised on KIDY-Fox TV.

To submit your parade entry, call or email Suzanne McGee at (325) 632-4421 or [email protected].

The committee is surveying the damage to the displays right now, but so far there is no indication the grand opening of the Tour of Lights will be delayed due to the vandalism.
