Abilene Police Department Arrests Six; Burglaries

 

ABILENE, TX – (APD Press Release) Abilene Police Fraud, Special Operations, Street Crimes, SWAT and Criminal Investigation Detectives arrested four male and two female suspects on various charges stemming from an investigation of an aggravated robbery which occurred on Oct. 4 in south Abilene.

Several men reported they were robbed at gunpoint by unknown males at a south Abilene business.

Jamar Sims (12/22/’90), Michael Darius Payne (5/24’86), Douglas Sims (8/22/’72), Chazsman Small (1/28/’82), Shyla McKelvie (6/13/’92) and Megan Stewart (3/13/’95), were taken into custody in an early morning bust operation. Police from various divisions executed four separate search warrants simultaneously at four different locations in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Oct. 18 in the Alameda addition of south Abilene.

Police seized numerous firearms along with several pieces of evidence. Investigation continues with more arrests and charges are expected.
