Accused Shooter in Fatal 2015 Super Bowl Drive-by faces a Jury Monday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- 30-year-old Jason Scott Little is accused of fatally shooting a woman inside Eva’s bar in the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Blvd. during a drive-by shooting on February 1, 2015.  

His jury trial for manslaughter begins Monday in the Tom Green County Courthouse.  Manslaughter is a second degree felony punishable by two to 20 years in prison and fine of up to $10,000.  

Little is accused of driving by the bar and shooting a .40 caliber handgun.  Three rounds hit the outside wall of the building and one took the life of Bertha Vasquez inside.  

Little was arrested for driving while intoxicated less than an hour after the shooting across town.  He was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. The manslaughter charge came a few days later.
