Drug Investigation Leads to Arrest of 65-year-old Del Rio Man who had several ounces of Cocaine in North San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A 65-year-old Del Rio man was arrested in San Angelo Wednesday after Police caught him with several ounces of cocaine in a parking lot in north San Angelo.

According to Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez, members of the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division (SCD) located Israel Talamantez Faz, who was a person of interest in an ongoing narcotics trafficking investigation, near the 1900 block of N. Bryant Blvd.

Subsequent to today’s enforcement action, Investigators located and seized approximately ten (10) ounces of cocaine from Faz’s vehicle.

Faz was arrested for First Degree Felony Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and transported to the Tom Green County Jail.

The Department’s K-9 Unit and Patrol Division assisted with today’s operation.
