15-Year-Old Stabbed in Knife Fight, Suspect Arrested

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A 15-year-old boy was stabbed during a late afternoon fight at the River Point Apartments at 1173 Benedict Drive in East San Angelo.

According to San Angelo Police Department Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez, police responded to a reported stabbing at about 4:45 Tuesday afternoon.  Officers arrived to find the 15-year-old  with a stab wound to the torso.  He was transported to Shannon Medical Center and his condition is unknown.

An officer responding to the scene working on a hunch stopped a vehicle matching that of the suspect who had fled the scene.  Gonzalez said the officer stopped the vehicle and the suspect is now in custody.
