SAN ANGELO, TX -- On Thursday, 23 people were arrested in Tom Green County. One of those arrests was for public intoxication, theft class C, and resisting arrest transportation.
San Angelo Police were dispatched to the Melrose clothing store at 614 W. 29th Street for the report of an unwanted subject who was located inside the store after business hours and refused to leave.
Police arrived and observed Donovan Perrett, 26, placing clothing items inside a backpack. Perrett refused to cooperate with officers and resisted being taken into custody, according to San Angelo Police Department.
One Officer received minor injuries as a result of Perrett’s resistance.
On Thursday, 14 people were arrested for new complaints, seven for warrants and two for both complaints and warrants.
