Taylor County Juvenile Probation Officer Accused of Stealing Funds

 

ABILENE, TX -- On Monday, an employee of the Taylor County Juvenile Probation Department was arrested for stealing more than $2,500 and less than $30,000 from her employer.

Connie Nichols, 52, of Abilene has been stealing money for over 10 years, according to court documents. She allegedly started taking the money in Sept. 2007 and continued until April 30, 2017.

Chief Juvenile Probation Officer Allison Stafford told KTXS the department will not comment at this time because it is an active investigation.

Nichols was arrested on the charged of aggregate theft, however, she was released on a $10,000 bond.
