Trio Arrested for Counterfeit Bills in Alpine

 

ALPINE, TX-- The Alpine Police Department arrested three men on Tuesday August 15 in connection to the use of counterfeit bills at local businesses in Alpine.

Alpine PD detained Robert Galindo, Cosme Gonzales, and George Sanchez. Gonzales is charged with with two counts of forgery and one count of engaging in criminal activity. Gallindo and Sanchez were both charged with one count of forgery and one count of engaging in criminal activity.

Following the arrests, police seized items used in the production of the counterfeit money that may have been used by the suspects.

"More arrests are expected," Alpine PD said in a statement on their Facebook page. The investigation is still ongoing.
