SAPD Looking for McDonald’s Shooting Suspect

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Investigators with the San Angelo Police Department have obtained an Arrest Warrant for Ben T. Nelms, 20, for the charge of Deadly Conduct in connection to yesterday’s shooting incident at the McDonalds located at 520 N. Bryant Boulevard.

Nelms is alleged to have discharged a firearm in the direction of a 19-year-old acquaintance after a verbal dispute and crash in the restaurant’s parking lot around 2:35 p.m. August 15, 2017.  Nelms fled the scene driving a dark pickup truck.  Police later located the truck, abandoned, near the 1500 block of Spaulding.

Nelms is also wanted on an outstanding warrant for Endangering a [7-year-old] Child in connection to an incident that occurred in early August, 2017.
