SAN ANGELO, TX – Over the weekend, 55 people were arrested in Tom Green County. Among those arrested were two juveniles who used drugs and broke into a building.
According to the San Angelo Police Department's (SAPD) arrest blotter, one male juvenile, age 15, was arrested for charges of graffiti and burglary of a building after he and several other teens used Xanax before breaking into Cornerstone Christian School, located at 1502 N. Jefferson. The second juvenile, age 16, was arrested for possession of marijuana and received a citation for curfew violation. This incident is still under investigation.
In addition to these arrests, two robbers were arrested by the SAPD after police officers linked them to cigarette butts that were located at a residence in the 2800 blk of Colorado Ave.
There were also eight arrests made over the weekend for public intoxication and five arrests for driving while under the influence.
Overall, 29 were arrested on new complaints, 22 for warrants and 4 for both complaints and warrants.
