Three Sweetwater Men Arrested, Counterfeit Currency Found in Car

SWEETWATER, TX -- The Sweetwater Sheriff's Office has arrested three men in connection to counterfeit cash that was found in their vehicle in Taylor County.

The three suspects, Christopher Guajardo, 32, Benny Caballero, 44 and Marcus Caballero,43, were taken into custody following an investigation by Taylor County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) who contacted them while they were sitting in a car parked at a bank in Trent Wednesday morning.

When the car was inventoried at the impound lot, investigators located the counterfeit U.S. currency. Following this discovery, Guajarado and Benny Caballero were charged with Forgery of a Government Instrument, Money for Securities, along with other unrelated warrants.

Marcus Caballero was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.

All three men were transported to the Taylor County Jail. Guajardo's bond totals $11,500, while Marcus Cabelleros's bond has been set at $3,000. Benny Caballero is being held without a bond
