SAN ANGELO, TEXAS—On Monday, 38 arrests were made in Tom Green County. One of the arrests was of a man who attacked his brother with a sharp object Monday evening.
Matias Perales Santamaria, Jr., 26, was arrested for Aggravated Assault Date/Family/House with a Weapon, after he cut his brother with “what appeared to be a sharp object.” The brother was sent to a local hospital with a minor laceration to his face. Santamaria, Jr., was booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 10:54 p.m. His bond hasn't been set at this time.
Also arrested yesterday evening, Adolphus Lee Bryant, 58, charged with Disorderly Conducting – Fighting. A LIVE! reporter was at scene of the fight on 315 Koberlin St. outside the Family Dollar. San Angelo Police Department Sgt. Kelly Lajoie said police were dispatched to a fight in progress between two males. “When [police] arrived on scene the two males were still fighting and engaging in some combat,” Sgt. Lajoie stated. Police separated both men and had them detained during the investigation. Sgt. Lajioe said, “one guy sustained more injuries than the other.” He was checked by medics for non-incapacitating injuries.
Bryant was booked into the jail at 9:54 p.m. with a $442 surety bound, however, he was released Tuesday morning on a personal recognizance bound promising to appear in court, and not to engaging in illegal activity.
Of the 38 arrests made on Monday, 19 arrests were from new complaints, 17 for warrants and two for both new complaints in addition to having warrants.
