Two Men Sentenced to Federal Prison for Having Sex with a 12-Year-Old

ABILENE, TEXAS – Today, two Abilene men were sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for having sex with a 12-year-old girl and shooting a video of the act.

Terrell Orlando Kinchen, 21, and Troy Lee Applin, Jr., 21, pled guilty to the charge in Feb. of this year.

According to the plea documents, between Jan. 1 and July 7, 2016, the defendants met up at Kinchen’s apartment and used an iPhone to shoot video of the girl performing oral sex on both of them. The video was then sent over the internet using social media apps Snapchat and Facebook.

“What these men did to this 12-year old girl is shocking and despicable,” U.S. Attorney John Parker said.  “The total depravity displayed by these defendants justifies these sentences.”

Both Kinchen and Applin were indicted by a federal grand jury on Nov.16, and were indicted by a Taylor County grand jury in February.
