SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police surrounded a home in north San Angelo at around noon today looking for a fleeing suspect. According to SAPD spokeswoman Tracy Gonzalez, police responded to a domestic dispute between a man and a woman in their early 20s.
As the first officer arrived to the location where the call indicated the dispute was happening, in the 2000 block of N. Chadbourne St., the male half of the dispute took off running.
Police attempted to track him down and, to do that, set up what Gonzalez explained was a moving search perimeter.

During the search, police were tipped off that the suspect was hiding inside a home on 22nd St. About five police cruisers moved in on that location with handguns and long guns drawn, surrounding the residence. Police located the owner of the home who arrived a short time afterwards to unlock the house and allow police to search. The search yielded nothing.
Several moments later, word reached police that the suspect was in a home a couple of doors down. Again, police surrounded the next home but this time the occupants were there. Police obtained permission to search the home for the suspect. Again, police came up empty-handed.

Gonzalez said they are looking for a Hispanic male, 19-20 years old, who is wearing grey basketball shorts. He was seen wearing a light, pinkish shirt, but Gonzalez said he may have discarded the shirt when fleeing the scene. He is 5'8" to 5'9" and weighs around 170 pounds.
Gonzalez said the 20-something woman involved in the dispute may be pregnant.
