SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- Over the past 24-hours, San Angelo Police Department (SAPD) officers arrested and booked 33 residents into the Tom Green County (TGC) Jail. The Jail also released 33 inmates.
Demarcus Dubree Greenwood, 19 was arrested Monday morning for Evading Detention near the unit block of E 22 Street. A pursuit ensued after Greenwood evaded officers.Greenwood was eventually found hiding in the backyard of a nearby residence. Greenwood, at the time of his arrest, was in possession of a dangerous drug and was subsequently charged with Possession of Dangerous Drug. At the same time, another subject, Latisha Laronda Huffman, 28, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Cody D. Karschner, 38 was arrested Monday evening on an Assault Causes Bodily Injury charge.
Around 8 p.m., police officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of Canyon Creek for the report of a domestic disturbance. While on scene, Karschner assaulted one of the responding police officers. Karschner was additionally charged with an Assault of Public Servant charge.
Over the past week, and on Monday, several residents have been put on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) hold. ICE holds occur when a foreign national is in state or federal custody and their arrest comes to the attention of the Department of Homeland Security.
