LUBBOCK, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) led a multi-agency operation that concluded on Thursday, March 30, and resulted in the arrest of 45 suspects during a two-week operation in Lubbock, Abilene, Amarillo and Wichita Falls, said a press release today.
According to the release, the operation focused on the apprehension of wanted fugitives and vehicle theft in the Lubbock region. The operation, led by DPS Special Agents, also resulted in the seizure of five weapons, a goose-neck trailer, two vehicles, one motorcycle, 14 grams of methamphetamine and two grams of cocaine.
DPS Special Agents were assisted by the DPS Highway Patrol, Lubbock Police Department, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, South Plains Auto Theft Task Force, Lubbock Independent School District Police Department, Hockley County Sheriff’s Office, Terry County Sheriff’s Office, Garza County Sheriff’s Office, Potter County Sheriff’s Office, Randall County Sheriff’s Office, Gray County Sheriff’s Office, Amarillo Police Department, Wichita Falls Police Department and United States Marshals Service.
