10-Year-Old Fredericksburg Cold Murder Case Back in Limelight

 

AUSTIN, TX – Nearly 10 years after she was found dead in her home, the Fredericksburg murder case of Linda Muegge, 55, remains opens. In an effort to find information that can lead to the capture of her murderer, DPS is offering up to $6,000 for any information that can aid the investigation. The Gillespie County Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward up to $10,000 associated with this murder.

Muegee was last seen entering her home on May 14, 2007 at approximately at 5:30 p.m. At around 7:30 p.m., witnesses called in a fire on Franklin Street in Fredericksburg. Muegee was found after the fire was extinguished, and the autopsy revealed that blunt force trauma had been the cause of death.

This victim was the owner of the The Peasant Kitchen catering business in Fredericksburg at the time of her death.

Anyone with information can provide information to authorities by calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477); all tips are anonymous. Valid tips must be submitted to this agency in order to receive compensation.
