San Angelo Woman Arrested For Drug Trafficking

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Monica Castillo, 37, was arrested earlier today after officers with the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division and Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division located methamphetamine in her possession after executing a warrant.

Officers were able to locate Castillo in a private residence on W. Avenue Q this afternoon. Upon issuing the warrant, officers also found evidence of methamphetamine.  Castillo was then taken into custody without incident.

The warrant was issued by Justice of the Peace Fred Buck who stated Castillo was in possession of the drugs. 

Furthermore, officers were able to locate items consistent with the trafficking of illegal narcotics and approximately $1,700.00 in U.S. currency.

Castillo was charged with a Manufacture Delivery Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 >=200G<400G charge, a first degree felony, and an outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Tom Green County Jail after the arrest.
