Brownwood Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Two Teenage Girls

BROWNWOOD, TX- A Brownwood man, who was arrested for allegations of sexually assaulting two teenagers, is free on bonds totaling $200,000.

Brown County Sheriff’s Sgt. Pete Bastardo arrested Blake Whitehead, 29, on two warrants for aggravated sexual assault of a child and one warrant for indecency with a child, Brown County Jail records state.

The Brownwood Bulletin wrote from a complaint filed by sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Bird:

According to the complaint, Bird began investigating after receiving a report by deputy Shade Tidwell. One of the girls involved communicated with a family member that she and the other girl were sexually assaulted by an older man.

Bird told KTXS, “We started an investigation the first part of January. There are two victims under the age of 16."

The report went on to say the girls went to a man’s house earlier that month where they watched movies and played basketball. After this visit, the girls returned to one of their homes and reportedly snuck out a bedroom window and returned to Whitehead's house where the sexual activity occurred.

Bird later received a text message from one of the girls’ phones that indicated a relationship had occurred between Whitehead and one of the girls.
