Two Men Draw Knife on Best Buy Employee

SAN ANGELO, TX - Shortly after 8 p.m. this evening, San Angelo Police dispatched to an ongoing armed robbery at local electronics store Best Buy, located at 4325 Sunset Dr.

At the scene, Sgt. Holt described one suspect as a white male, and the other as a Hispanic male with a mustache. He further indicated that both suspects were in their late 20s/early 30s. The two men entered the local Best Buy tonight and "tried to steal a number of speakers, [but] as they were trying to make their escape, one employee, I believe, grabbed one of them and ripped the shirt of one of [the suspect's]," said Holt. The other man "displayed a knife."

The two suspects were last seen running northeast from [Best Buy] towards the Shannon Surgical Center near Loop 306. It is likely that the suspects had a waiting vehicle, or had one available to them, noted Sgt. Holt. It's unclear, however, if the two suspects managed to escape with merchandise from the store.

The sergeant stated this is an ongoing investigation, and LIVE! will provide more information once it becomes available.

Update

Officer Tracy Gonzalez provided a few more details in the attempted robbery at Best Buy. She said a fight ensued, and the suspect who pulled a knife did cut the employee, causing a minor injury.

No further information if available at this time, she said.
