Lincoln Middle School Science Teacher Arrested for Sexual Indecency with Child

SAN ANGELO, TX – Since our last update, local law enforcement arrested and booked 18 people into the Tom Green County Jail. Out of those arrests, 14 arrestees were booked on outstanding warrants, including a now “former” Lincoln Middle School Science teacher who was arrested for sexual indecency with a child.

Currently, LIVE! is still waiting for the report from the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office on this arrest, but we have confirmed that 58-year-old Steve Skinner was arrested and booked into the TGCJ yesterday at 6:40 p.m.

Additionally, San Angelo Independent School District officials had this to say about this arrest:

“On Monday evening, November 28, 2016, San Angelo ISD was made aware of the arrest of a former employee on felony charges involving inappropriate conduct with a minor. The District will continue to monitor the situation with law enforcement. There is no indication at this time that any inappropriate conduct occurred on school property or during school events or activities; however, the District will fully cooperate with any investigating agencies. As always, the District's top priority is the safety and welfare of our students.”

This is Skinner’s first arrest in Tom Green County, and his bond has yet to be set.

When Skinner became a former employee of Lincoln Middle School is unknown. However, Skinner was listed as a member of the faculty Lincoln as of this morning, Nov. 29.
