Victim Attacked During Robbery in Big Spring

 

BIG SPRING, TX- On Saturday, Nov. 26, the Big Spring Police Department (BSPD) was dispatched to the 1300 block of S. Gregg St. in reference to a robbery.

At approximately 8:03 p.m., and upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who informed them that, around 6:50 p.m., “an older model car pulled up into the parking lot. He could see two black males occupying the vehicle,” the press release from BSPD stated.

The victim then informed the officers that the vehicle eventually pulled away and parked alongside the curb on 13th St.

The press release added, “The victim informed ,while he was putting items away for closing, one of the black males, wearing a gray in color long sleeve shirt and blue jeans, ran toward him brandishing a black in color handgun. The black male then grabbed the victim pushing him inside the utility trailer [that] the victim uses to store his property for sale.”

After pushing the victim, the suspect then hit him in the head with the firearm, reached into the pocket of the victim and stole approximately $400.00.  

“The victim advised that he fell to the floor of the utility trailer and was instructed not to move, at which time the suspect ran away,” the press release stated.

The victim explained to the police that he did not notify them sooner due to him being scared.
