Woman Indicted in Death of Sgt. Korby Kennedy Arrested for Shoplifting

SAN ANGELO, TX - A 46-year old woman indicted in March of this year in the death of San Angelo Police Sgt. Korby Kennedy was arrested Saturday for shoplifting at Walmart, located at 5501 Sherwood Way.

Ozona resident Cynthia Quiqley was arrested by SAPD officers for Class B Theft (shoplifting) at the Walmart.

Because this is a misdemeanor charge, Sgt. Travis Griffith said this is all the information SAPD can release at this time.

According to jail records, however, Quigley was booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 9:05 p.m. Saturday night for Theft of Property of more than $100, but less than $750. She was released on a $500 Surety Bond yesterday morning.

In March of this year, a grand jury indicted Quigley for Criminal Negligent Homicide. On June 25, 2015, Quigley failed to yield the right of way to Sgt. Kennedy while turning left and on a cell phone. For more stories on that case, click here and here.

You would think that being in trouble for one act that cost a human being his life, she'd keep her head down and stay out of trouble, but apparently not.
