SAN ANGELO, TX - Since Friday, local law enforcement hauled 95 people to the Tom Green County Jail. Yesterday, at 4:10 p.m., 20-year-old Michael Anthony Moreno was arrested on two outstanding warrants for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.
Tom Green County Sheriff Administrative Lt. Christina Lopez said, on Friday Oct. 28, TGCSO was dispatched to Grape Creek ISD in reference to a sexual assault of a child. The call was turned over to the Criminal Investigative Division.
"Upon completion of the investigation, Michael Anthony Moreno of San Angelo was charged with two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child," said Lopez. "Moreno was arrested and transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident."
Lopez added that because this is still an ongoing case, no other information will be released at this time.
This is Moreno's first arrest in Tom Green County, and his bonds total $60,000.
Including Moreno, 44 people were arrested on outstanding warrants; 14 people had both warrants and new complaints; and 37 people were arrested for new complaints only. Drugs and alcohol topped the list of offenses overall. Here is the breakdown of those offenses:
