20-Year-Old Texas State Student Found Dead Underneath Bus

SAN MARCOS, TX - On Saturday, Oct. 29, the body of a 20-year-old Texas State student was found near the San Marcos River at the Cool River Ranch, a music and river-tubing venue.

At the 600 block of Dupuy Ranch Road, Jordin Taylor’s body was discovered underneath a bus. It has been confirmed by Texas State University that Taylor had died in Guadalupe County.

Local news source KXAN reported, “Guadalupe County Commissioner Jack Shanafelt confirms that the student died on the Cool River Ranch Property in Martindale at a fraternity party that was held on the property, about 20 minutes away from the university.”

Although the party may have been close to the location of Taylor’s death, Star-Telegram noted that Arnold Zwicke, Guadalupe County Sheriff, said, “It was too soon to say if Taylor’s death had anything to do with the party.”
