SAN ANGELO, TX – This was another busy weekend for local law enforcement, and, since Friday, through this morning, 70 people with not-so-smart intentions made their way to the Tom Green County Jail. That included 23-year-old Steven Ray Gamez, 20-year-old Brianna Zoila Molina, and 24-year-old Araceli Espinola, who LIVE! reported on last night.
These three individuals were arrested after San Angelo Police investigated several shots fired calls reported after 8:30 p.m. Click here for the original story.
Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said, just before 9 p.m. last night, officers conducted an investigatory traffic stop on a blue 2005 Chevrolet Suburban, which matched the description of a vehicle leaving the area of reported shots fired in the 6600 block of Knickerbocker Road.
"During the contact, Officers observed a handgun in plain view behind the driver’s seat and open containers of alcohol," said Gonzalez.
Gamez was booked at 10:43 p.m. and charged with Unlawful Carrying Weapon after a record's check of the gun revealed it was reported stolen out of Tom Green County. When officers conducted a search of Gamez, they located a bag containing several Xanax pills. Thus, he was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance PG 3 < 28G. He also received a citation for Discharging a Firearm Inside City Limits after Police learned Gamez had reportedly fired the handgun near the northwest side of the KOA Campground on Knickerbocker Rd.
His bonds total $1,500.

I can't imagine why anyone would be smiling after being arrested! What is becoming of our fair city?!

PermalinkSomething is terribly wrong when a city celebrates arrests like the city of San Angelo and Tom Green county does. I have never seen an ongoing racket like the court system there.

PermalinkMy guess is that her smile has more to do with the number of those open containers that were hers than it does with the thought of being arrested. Of course, if you're as used to it as these three appear to be, why not smile?
