Police: Brownwood Home Raided, Man Arrested for Selling Meth and More

 

BROWNWOOD, TX - A 45-year-old Brownwood man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly selling methamphetamine and other drugs.

Walter Carl Salyer was taken into custody after authorities raided his home in the 3700 block of 1st Street, according to the Brownwood Police Department.

In a statement, Police Chief Terry Nichols said investigators seized "12 grams of methamphetamine packaged for distribution, marijuana, illegal prescription medication, and evidence related to the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics."

Nichols said Salyer’s arrest was part of an ongoing investigation and that more arrests were anticipated.

The Brownwood and Early police departments and the Brown County Sheriff's Office took part in the raid, according to the news release.

Salyer is facing charges of manufacture/delivery of a control substance in a drug-free zone, possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone, and possession of marijuana under two ounces.

His bond had not been set yet as of Tuesday night, according to the Brown County Jail website.
