APD: Two Convenience Stores in Abilene Robbed Overnight

 

ABILENE, TX — A clerk at a convenience store in the 1300 block of S.14th reported he was robbed at 2:54 a.m. this morning.

The clerk told Abilene Police a black male came into the store and demanded money from the register. The clerk said the suspect had a blanket and plastic bag concealing himself. He took an undisclosed amount of money and left on foot, northbound on Poplar St. The suspect was wearing white shorts, and APD states this is the only description they have.

No weapon was displayed in this robbery.

Additionally, later this morning, at 4:15 a.m., two black male suspects entered a convenience store located at 5100 U.S. 277 in Abilene. One suspect had a gun and wore a black hoodie, while both were wearing masks. The second suspect, identified as wearing a blue hoodie, stood at the door while his partner in a black hoodie pointed the  gun and demanded money from the clerk. The duo stole an undisclosed amount of money and both suspects fled the store heading towards Texas Ave. on foot.

No other description was given, APD reported.
