Woman Arrested for Animals at Large and Fail to Spay/Neuter and Vaccinate Warrants

 

Since our last update, 21 people made their way to the Tom Green County Jail. Included in those arrests was Adriana Marie Cruz, 26, who was arrested for criminal trespass and four outstanding warrants that include Dog Ferrit or Pot Bellied Pig at Large X 2, CPF X 6, Failure to Vaccinate X 2, and Fail to Spay or Neuter Animal X 2.

Officer Tracy Gonzalez, public information for the San Angelo Police Department, said at around 12:30 p.m. yesterday, officers were dispatched to the Walmart at 610 W. 29th St. for the report of a Criminal Trespass in progress.

“Officers arrived and located Cruz at the Coinstar machine,” said Gonzalez. “A records check verified that Cruz had a prior CTW issued to her from that property.”

At that point, officers arrested Cruz for violating the CTW and for the four outstanding warrants.

Including Cruz, five people were arrested on new complaints and warrants, 12 on outstanding warrants alone, and four on new complaints.

Crimes to make the new complaint list include:

  • Driving While License Invalid: 2
  • Possession of Marijuana: 2
  • ICE Hold: 1
  • Walking w/The Flow of Traffic: 1
  • Assault Causes Bodily Injury: 1
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: 1
  • Possession of Controlled Substance

She was originally arrested for the Criminal Trespass. Meaning she did something on that property before and she wasn't allowed to come back, coming back meant being arrested. While being arrested it was found she had the other warrants for her dogs. She probably had nuisance animals and had been ticketed once or more for the above mentioned issues for two dogs, and never paid the tickets, those tickets turned into warrants.

I can understand being arrested for Criminal Trespass, but if you can be arrested or have warrants for not fixing your pets, I don't want to live in this town anymore. That's just freaking ridiculous.
