Hostage Situation Unfolds in Blanket, Texas

Currently, the Brown County Sheriff's Office and the Department of Public Safety are attempting to negotiate with a suspect in a hostage situation.

According to local news sources, it is unknown how many victims are involved.

The incident was reported at approximately 1:30 p.m., and the home is located near Avenue A and 5th Avenue in Blanket.

A neighboring family of four was safely evacuated from the scene.
