A Correctional Officer Arrested for Improper Sexual Contact with Person in Custody

Today, Tom Green County Correctional Officer Logan Boyd was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail on a charge of Violation of Civil Rights of a Person in Custody.

TGC Sheriff David Jones said as a result of a recent similar investigation conducted, additional information was received alleging a correctional officer had improper sexual contact with a person while in custody.

TGCSO initiated an investigation into the allegations, and investigators conducted several interviews and obtained other evidentiary information relevant to the case.

"Investigators presented the information to the District Attorney’s office for review," said Jones. "On August 12, 2016, an arrest warrant was issued for Boyd's arrest."
