A 34-year-old San Angelo man, Dustin Lara, was arrested for Felony 1 Possession of a Controlled Substance early this morning after police located approximately four grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop, said Officer Tracy Gonzalez, public information officer for SAPD.

"Lara, a passenger in the vehicle, possessed a suspected narcotic that field-tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine," said Gonzalez. "Another passenger, 31-year-old James McManus, was arrested for multiple outstanding warrants. The vehicle’s driver, a 22-year-old female, was released."

Gonzalez added that officers conducted the traffic stop on the white Chevrolet Silverado pickup in the 1000 block of N. Madison around 1:30 a.m.
