San Angelo Police Investigate Game Room Robbery

The San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is actively searching for a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery that occurred last night at Papas Sweepstakes, 2416 Sherwood Way, said Officer Tracy Gonzalez, public information officer.

Gonzalez said officers responded to the robbery in progress call around 8:15 p.m. When they arrived, officers learned a man entered the location and demanded money. He threatened he would shoot the clerk while doing so.

"No one was injured during the incident, and the suspect reportedly fled the location with an undisclosed amount of money," said Gonzalez.

She added that Patrol units established a perimeter around the area, and the Department’s K-9 Unit responded to assist with the search; however, the suspect has not been located.

The suspect is described as being a short Hispanic male with a thin build. He also has short black hair and tattoos on both arms. Gonzalez said SAPD will be releasing photographs of the suspect in the near future.

This just goes to show that no establishment in San Angelo is safe from criminal activity. I'm willing to bet that if this fool is not captured soon, he will commit the same act somewhere else in town. I can just hear him when his time comes to face the Judge! "YO HONOR...I DIDN'T DID IT"

These places are illegal and why is the City allowing them to continue to operate? The attorney general now Goveror has ruled numerous times over this. Makes you wonder who is committing the crime here.
