The San Angelo Police Department is investigating an Aggravated Assault that left a 24-year-old woman injured this weekend.
Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2200 block of Shelton Street just before 10 p.m. Sunday night for the report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, they met with the victim who said she answered a knock at her front door and a man reached up and cut her with a knife. The victim said the man then ran to a white pickup truck that fled the area. The man was described as a Hispanic male who was wearing a black trench coat with grey sweat pants and a grey hoodie. The victim told Officers that she has seen the man before but did not know his name.
The victim’s minor injury was treated at the scene by San Angelo Fire Department Medics. At this time, no arrests have been made and this is an active investigation.
