San Angelo Man Gets Hit by Truck After Stealing Beer from Lowe's

 

Yesterday, a San Angelo man who stole beer from a grocery store on North Bryant didn’t get to enjoy the end result of his beer run. Instead, he spent his Saturday in an area hospital after getting hit by a truck.

At about 1:30 p.m., right after reports of a crash on Pulliam St and Poe, San Angelo Police responded to another crash on 18th Street and Bryant. A San Angelo man, name unknown at this time, was hit by a truck after stealing beer from Lowe’s and attempting to flee the area.

Officer B. Gesch said the man was transported to Community Medical Center with unknown injuries. The man faces theft charges, but Officer Gesch said he has not been booked into the Tom Green County Jail as of yet.
