SAPD Takes Possession of Vehicle That May Have Been Involved in Hit-and-Run

 

San Angelo Police Department Traffic Investigators took possession of a possible suspect vehicle that may have been involved in Tuesday morning’s hit-and-run crash involving a 75-year-old pedestrian, Frederick Alley, said a press release Thursday. The possession took place at approximately 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan.13.

According to the release, the vehicle was located at a residence in San Angelo and transported to one of the Department’s evidence holding areas. Specific details are not being released at this time as the driver of the vehicle has not been contacted, and the investigation is ongoing.

Investigators began searching for the suspect vehicle Tuesday morning after the driver of a red SUV struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street at Gunter and W Avenue Q streets. SAPD reported that Alley is reported to be in stable condition.
