From Black Friday through Cyber Monday, the Tom Green County Jail witnessed 74 arrests on a variety of offenses; however, as usual, drugs topped the charts.
Overall, new complaints, in some cases suspects had more than one, there were nine for possession of marijuana. There were also 14 people charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and controlled substance.
Additional complaints included:
- Reckless Driving: 1
- Theft of Property: 1
- DWI: 4
- Assault Causes Bodily Injury: 2
- Interfere w/Emergency Request for Assistance: 1
- Assault by Contact: 1
- Driving with Invalid License: 2
- Public Intoxication: 4
- Theft Class C: 1
- Failure to Control Speed: 1
- Walk w/ Flow of Traffic: 2
- Evading Arrest Detention: 1
- Assault Class C: 1
- PTS Hold Over: 2
- Criminal Trespass of a Habitat/Shelter: 2
- Fail to ID Fugitive from Justice: 2
In addition to complaints, 42 people were arrested on warrants. In these cases, some suspects had both new complaints and warrants combined.
Finally, 38 individuals were released from the jail during the same time period.
