Jonathan Michael Hicks was 19 when he was accused of sexual assault of a child in June 2007; a little over a year later, in September 2008, he was accused of committing a second offense of sexual assault of a child on a 16-year-old girl, which he pled guilty to in 2009. He was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication probation, and the first charge was dropped in exchange for the plea. Bryan Clayton prosecuted the case.

In 2010, the state filed a motion to revoke probation; however, that motion was denied, and his probation was continued. Recently, another motion to revoke probation was filed and Hicks was arrested on the accompanying warrant on Wednesday. A date has not yet been set for his hearing.

In addition to Hicks, 18 others were jailed on Wednesday, all of whom were jailed on warrants, with the exception of one person picked up for public intoxication. Twenty-two inmates were released on Wednesday.
