Women Account for Third of Inmates Jailed on Tuesday

 

About a third of the inmates booked into the Tom Green County Jail on Tuesday were women, which included nine of the 29 jailed. Most of the women were booked on warrants for theft or credit card abuse, while a couple were charged with driving while license invalid.

Other charges reflected in the jail logs included two thefts, one DWI and one PI, as well as warrant arrests for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, DWI and miscellaneous other charges. 

Twenty-eight inmates were released on Tuesday.
