Warrants and Commitments Overwhelm Monday Bookings

 

Unpaid court fees, failure to appear and court-ordered commitments were the primary offenses contributing to Tom Green County Jail bookings on Monday, when only seven of the 28 put behind bars were booked on non-warrant arrests.

Some of those offenses included three charged with DWI, two accused of drug possession and one charged with marijuana possession. In addition, some of those booked on complaints also had warrants, while several others turned themselves in for commitments tied to past offenses. 

Twenty-eight individuals were released on Monday
