SAPD Arrest Two Men in San Angelo for Burglary of a Motor Vehicle

At 2:36 a.m. this morning, Officer A. Nandin with the San Angelo Police Department observed two male subjects walking in the 200 block of Mockingbird Lane, and continued to watch as they got into a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the area, said Sgt. Cade Solsbery, public information officer for SAPD.

Solsbery stated that Officer Nandin made contact with both subjects, 19-year-old Timothy Guerra and 20-year-old Jose Mtanous, and learned that they were both in possession of stolen property from several vehicles they had burglarized in the area.  At that point, Officer Nandin placed both men under arrest, and Mtanous was found to be in possession of prescription medication for which he did not have a valid prescription.

Officer Nandin transported Mtanous and Guerra to the Tom Green County Jail. They were charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, and Mtanous was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 and one outstanding city warrant.
