SAPD Arrest a San Angelo Man for Improper Visual Recording

The San Angelo Police Department arrested Brandon Berry, 30, yesterday on a warrant stemming from an investigation of Improper Visual Recording, said Sgt. Cade Solsbery, public information officer for SAPD.

Solsbery said that on Sept. 11, 2015, San Angelo Police were contacted about a juvenile victim who stated she had been video recorded without her knowledge while in the shower. At that time, Detective Jeremy Cannady was contacted to conduct an investigation. He identified the 30-year-old San Angelo man as the suspect during his investigation. Detective Cannady also confirmed the contents of the video that verified the victim’s claim.

On Sept. 15, SAPD issued a warrant for Berry’s arrest for Improper Photography or Visual Recording. Officials located the suspect in the 4400 block of S. Chadbourne around 11:00 am on the same day, and they took him into custody without incident.

Solsbery said the investigation remains ongoing and no other information is available for release at this time.
