San Angelo Police Are Searching for Remaining Wanted Home Invasion Suspect

On Aug. 31, 2015, Fernando Lavaris Jr of San Angelo burglarized a 69-year-old man’s home in the 500 block of N. Sellers St. and shot him. He was identified and arrested; however, Lavaris wasn’t the only culprit. In a press release today, SAPD officials stated they obtained an arrest warrant for a fourth person involved in the shooting incident, Eric J. Martinez, 27, of San Angelo. Martinez is wanted for “Burglary of a Habitat with Intent to Commit another Felony,” said Tracy Gonzalez, public information officer for the PD.

Since the burglary and shooting, the victim has yet to recover from his wounds and remains at a local hospital where he’s being treated for life-threatening injuries.

The Department’s Special Security Operations Section and Patrol Division arrested Lavaris Jr. the same day of the shooting, and two other suspects involved, Jonathan Jesse Martin, 27, and Eliza (AKA Lisa) Losoya, 27, were arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail on September 3 and September 2.
