San Angelo Police Department Seeks Information on Criminal Mischief Case

The San Angelo Police Department is seeking information on a criminal mischief case at the Equalization Channel North Pool.

Officer Tracy Gonzalez said an individual at approximately 11:30 p.m. on August 24 forced open a locked gate with a 4x4 vehicle while exiting the North Pool Rec Area at the EQ. The Twin Buttes Area gates are locked during heavy rainfall to prevent damage to roadways.

“The suspect’s vehicle would have been very muddy and will have damage across the front from driving through the locked gate,” Gonzalez noted.

Additionally, SAPD is asking visitors to call dispatch at (325) 657-4315 if they become locked inside a Recreation Area as opposed to damaging the gates to get out.
