Jail Bookings High on Monday

Traffic into and out of the Tom Green County Jail was high on Monday, outpacing weekend traffic with 34 booked into and 38 released from the correctional facility.

The majority of those jailed were booked on warrants or commitments, including several for theft, issuance of bad checks and burglary. Those jailed on non-warrant arrests included two charged with assault and two charged with public intoxication.

Four charged with assault and one charged with injury to a child were released on Monday.
